Description: SHARPES OF ABERDEEN 3 1/4” PERFECT STYLE TROUT FLY FISHING REEL. This little reel really is a stunner. Now, I’m not going to palm this off as 100% original as it has been sympathetically restored as it needed some help to preserve it for another 100 + years. All the components are original apart from a knackered foot which was replaced with an identical foot. There was the on set of corrosion which has now been completely sorted. It has also been treated with a complete relead and lacquering. It was also completely stripped and cleaned. This work was carried out by an extremely well known reel restorer and the leading was done using the same formula and processes that would’ve been used when it was first made. This reel is ready to use, collect or just stare at for a while.
