Description: This is an antique pair of Dominion Roller Skates, made in Canada c 1965. They were used weekly until 1973 and then, when the roller rink closed, they were put on a shelf and have been sitting there ever since. They are in perfect working order, but they have never been cleaned or polished and are covered in scuff marks. Also, the original owner's name is written on the back. So they need some attention. But the leather is in fine shape and they are perfectly usable. They have the original black rabbit's fur glued to the tongue (it can be steamed off), and there is an original key holder attached to one; a sort of blue plastic dangle attached to the other. Very high-quality white leather. The steel mounts are also best-quality.The wheels and toe stops are in good shape. You could use the skates right away. It says 8.5 as the size, but I would say an 8--depends on your socks.They are 11" long and 4" at the foot's widest point. They both weigh 2 lbs. You can easily put outdoor wheels on them.
