You need roughly the same ratio of fruit and sugar, i.e. one bag of Gelfix Classic is sufficient for 1,000 g of prepared fruit and 1,150 g of sugar. For jellies you need 850 ml of fruit juice and 1,000 g of sugar. With Gelfix Classic you have a free choice not only with the fruit, but also with the type of sugar: You can also use cane or brown sugar to give your jam a light caramel note. Dr. Oetker Gelfix Classic 1: 1 contains the vegetable gelling agent pectin, which is obtained from apples and citrus fruits. Preparation instructions: 1. Finely chop or puree the prepared fruit or measure the fruit juice and place in a large saucepan. 2. First mix 1 bag of Gelfix Classic with 2 tablespoons of the sugar, mix with the fruit / fruit juice and bring to the boil while stirring. As soon as the fruit mixture is boiling, add the remaining sugar. Cook for at least 3 minutes, stirring constantly. 3. Skim off the fruit mass if necessary, fill immediately to the brim in prepared glasses.
