These vines were planted in 1983 and provide an exceptional level of balance and uniformity, from the total production and distribution of clusters to the size and density of the canopy in the plant. The Cabernet Sauvignon grapes from this lot have an intense flavor of cassis and excellent structure. The second component of the Cabernet Sauvignon was obtained from Lot 2 of the Domingo Vineyard. This higher altitude and cooler climate vineyard imparts aromas of ripe black cherries, with a slight mineral touch and notes of oregano and thyme. DV Catena Cabernet Sauvignon presents an intense ruby red color with dark violet reflections. On the nose, it offers complex aromas reminiscent of cassis, raspberries, interwoven with sweet spices such as black pepper and cloves, cedar and leather, with mineral notes of graphite. Intense and full-bodied, this wine of remarkable elegance has a smooth texture and excellent balance. Its acidity and soft tannins give it a well-defined structure, crowned by a long and persistent finish.
