Solid brass housing with a chrome face and Schlage shaped keys Cylinder length 1-1/4 inch with hardened break away tail piece (may need to be trimmed to fit your lock) Hardened break away tailpiece may need to be trimmed to fit your door Please refer to the line art drawing for dimensions and compare with your needs before ordering Product Description This Schlage -shaped keyway and cylinder lock was designed to only aesthetically match actual Schlage keys and keyways, as it was designed specifically to be used in surface-mounted sliding patio door handle sets. This cylinder lock is constructed of brass, it comes finished with a chrome face and features a hardened cut-away tailpiece. Make sure to dry fit the lock before completing assembly to fit your door correctly. NOTE: if the key is binding the pressure from too tight of a fit is the reason (the tail piece needs to be trimmed). It works with vertical and 45 degree keyways (angle is determined when latch is extended to the locked position). *Tip: If keyed-alike cylinders are desired for more than one patio door handle set lock, kindly see Prime-Line model number E 2104. Note: The components of these cylinder locks are not compatible and cannot be rekeyed to match other Schlage locks, nor will Schlage keys fit into this cylinder lock.
