🆕Eaglemoss USS Excelsior NCC-2000 Issue # 152 Nilo Rodis Concept I

Description: Appearing very briefly in the Star Trek The Next Generation episode Unification Part I, but originally intended as a potential Excelsior for the movie Star Trek III The Search For Spock, this concept ship was designed by Nilo Rodis. When Leonard Nimoy was directing Star Trek III, he told Industrial Light and Magic that the Excelsior should look much more advanced than the Enterprise. Nilo Rodis produced several different concepts, most of which had a very long body and four nacelles. Bill George then made study models of each of them, throwing in an additional design of his own, which was eventually chosen. The model is approximately 5.25" long.
