Description: Offered for sale is a beautiful antique EAPG glass DOMED BUTTER DISH, introduced in 1897 by A.H. Heisey & Co. of Newark, OH, U.S.A. The pattern is called #1225, aka Plain Band, aka Sawtooth Bands. The pattern features tiny zipper-like sawtooth bands, surrounding a smooth bulging band. It's brilliantly clear, and beautiful in its simplicity. The base measures 7 1/2 inches (19.1cm) in diameter and the whole thing stands 5 1/2 inches (14.0cm) tall to the finial knob when assembled. The rim measures 5 inches (12.7cm) in diameter. A U.S. quarter is shown in the first three pictures, to give an accurate impression of the size at a glance. It is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, deep scratches, or repairs. There is no discoloration or cloudiness in the glass. All of my items are from a SMOKE FREE home.
