Description: Here is a lovely and early cabinet sized 13" tall bebe Francois Gaultier (FG) in block letters marked F5G from early 1800s. I am doing a UFDC presentation on FGs soon and was glad to get my hands on one of these really early bebes to feature ! This one has a few issues hence her reduced price. First she has a temple repair to the right side see photos. She has pressed bisque with very pale painting and an impish expression. She has her original wig and cork pate. Eyes are bulging blue paperweights in their original set. She has socket head on replaced shoulderplate. Body is an original FG of clean kid leather with bisque lower arms having the unique cupped hands. She is not leaking any sawdust. She wears all antique clothing consisting of undies, frail dress, socks, straw hat and Bru style shoes. She is a sweet rare doll with very hard to find body and is worthy of your collection despite her few issues. If perfect she would sell for ~$7500 so my price at half that is fair.
