Description: You are looking at a special edition of the science-fiction classic The Demolished Man by author Alfred Bester, published by Easton Press in 1986. Easton Press is a specialty publisher that focuses on gilded "collectible" editions of famous works, bound in colorful bonded leather. This is the original 1986 printing in the darker, chocolate-colored leather, with a gold ribbon bookmark. The book includes an introduction by sci-fi legend Kurt Vonnegut, as well as black-and-white chapter headings and a small handful of two-color, full-page illustrations by artist Vincent DiFate. There is also a "Masterpieces of Science Fiction: Collector's Notes" insert that accompanied the book on publication but is often missing from secondhand copies. My copy includes the original insert in excellent condition. In general, the book looks as good as new. There are only very minimal hints of shelf wear, including the use of the bookmark. There are no rips, tears, stains, or other blemishes, and the gilded page edges remain clean and consistent. Thanks for taking the time to look at my listing. Please let me know if you have any unanswered questions or would like to see additional pictures. Also, please visit my other listings for more collectible classic sci-fi!
