Description: Hardcover in original dust jacket. Jacket now in Mylar protective cover to prevent further damage. Jacket chipped around edges and missing a large corner on cover. Book is bound in black cloth. Both the jacket protector and book are shiny and did not photograph well, sorry for the glare. They both do look a bit better in person. Interior pages tightly bound and clean, but starting to yellow a bit on text pages, a result of depression era paper being of lower quality. Plates on better paper, so they all still look great. Overall very good condition in a good minus dust jacket. 10" x 7.5" with 197 numbered pages. "of Omar Khayyam’s robāʿiyyāt (The Rubáiyát of Omar Khayyám, 1859). The fairy tales known as The Thousand and One Nights, first translated in 1704, provided abundant raw material for many a Western writer’s play, novel, story, or poem about the Islamic East."From britannica.com
