"Elijah Silverman has left a legacy that in such cases as these subway drawings, leaves us not only a nostalgic peek into the bygone days of New York's Subway Stystem but a testament to his humanistic sensibilities. Browising through Silverman's drawings is not merely a step back in time but a profoundly moving journey into the soul of a man committed to depicted his fellow man with all the honesty his observant eye and talent could muster," Raymond J.
