Today the dairy buildings are the estate's winery. This bottle was really used. It is in nice clean condition. There are some light scratches and clouding here and there, but overall nice. No chips, cracks or repairs that I see or feel. Around the top it says Biltmore in two places. Around the bottom it says Half Pint Liquid 1 Reg. Sealed L52. In April 1985 the dairy was sold. I believe this means it is from the 1950's. George Vanderbilt established Biltmore Dairy operations at his estate in Asheville, North Carolina for three main reasons: to supply dairy products to Biltmore House, to provide an example to others on how to run a successful farm, and to generate income through commercial product sales. If you visited the Biltmore, former Vanderbilt estate, this would make a fun souvenir since it came from that same location.Item is being sold “as is” as was found.
