Description: EMERIK FEJES Serbian Naive Art Framed Original Gouache painting on Paper of Trogir, Croatia. This art measures approximately 25" x 18" framed. Emerik Fejes was born in 1904 & died in 1969. This amazing Serbian NAIVE artist is known for his use of vibrant, bright colors in his urban landscape paintings. He frequently painted on paper using Gouache. Hence, many of his pieces have visible cracking from the media and materials used. This one does too, as well as a few other marks that appear to be mostly on the underside of the glass of the frame. I hesitated to, and ultimately decided NOT to remove this from its frame due to the protection it provides. I may recognize fine art, but I am certainly not qualified to restore a piece of art as rare as this and would never attempt it. I'll leave that to you.
