This is an Epiphone Les Paul Custom made in Japan (manufactured by Fujigen). This is a limited-time model that was only sold in Japan in the mid-2000s. Its main features are the extremely thin lacquer coating and Gibson head, and the logo in the same font as the Epiphone Elitist, also made in Japan, shines on the head. The lacquer is not the nitrocellulose lacquer of the past, but acrylic lacquer. The binding and inlays have been pre-yellowing, giving it a long-standing feel. The direct vibration from the deep joints creates a pleasant sound. Even when distorted hard, it produces a tight and lively rock sound. The pickups are equipped with original Alnico V humbuckers. It has a clear character with a wide range of dynamics.The pegs have been replaced with Gotoh locking pegs. The hole positions are slightly different, so if you want to return it to the original, you will need to drill the holes again. It has been replaced with CTS pots and inch knobs that match them. Other wiring has been replaced with Gibson-style wiring and the capacitors have been replaced with Higuchi Electronics Vita-Qs, giving the interior a luxurious feel. All original parts, including the tuning pegs, are included.There are some small scratches and dents, but considering that it has been about 20 years since it was manufactured, it is in beautiful enough condition. An aftermarket gig bag is included.
