Description: Eppendorf 5810R Benchtop Refrigerated Centrifuge 120V - No Rotor, See Pics&Descr This unit is fundamentally in operating condition. The spindle spins which has been confirmed, but no rotor is included with this sale, so the unit kicks out the "no rotor" message (as it should) before the spindle reaches significant RPM's. The compressor cools and holds the chamber to the temperature you see in the pictures, 5 degrees Celsius/42 degrees Fahrenheit. The unit probably requires addition of refrigerant to allow it to reach the lowest temperatures in its specifications range. The interlock for the lid works properly. However the "hydraulic" lift in front of the left hinge does not work correctly to hold the lid open and will require repair or replacement. The unit has significant scratches, especially on the right side, indicative of how it was stored and moved on its side. The power button, however still works fine. This unit is not pretty and shows some poor handling for its storage, but with relatively minor tuning/repair, it still has significant useful life remaining. I will palletize this unit and ship it via LTL Freight to any Continental U.S. address that has a dock or forklift service on site. Or I can freight to your nearest freight depot for local pickup if that is preferred. A freight quote will be provided upon sale. Please note that in the past, we used YRC Freight and could send a unit like this to any Continental U.S. address for approximately $200-250. With YRC's shutdown, LTL Freight prices are bound to increase, so factor this in to your purchase price decision.
