Description: This Eppendorf refrigerated centrifuge was a part of a large bulk purchase of a lab whose program was being shutdown. When I arrived at the lab 80 percent of the instruments were labeled either "working, not working or discard" and some not labeled at all. This particular instrument was on a table labeled " working centrifuge, needs new display" and came just as pictured (without the rotor) the rotor was only used for testing. So I'm selling it just as I received it. I ran the fast temp and the unit spun very quietly and got cold. I don't have any other way of testing it. The display is very temperamental (sometimes it display corectly and sometimes it displays random characters) I spoke with tech support at Eppendorf and was told the display board and internal board can be replaced for $649.00from them. Because of my inability to test the unit further myself and the display I must sell it as a parts unit. I have sold over 90 items from my purchase and have relied on how each item was labeled and any self testing I was able to do and have not received one complaint.
