If your existing lock is turning as it should, but the vehicle is not cranking or you are getting a flashing "security" light in the dash, the problem is probably something other than the lock cylinder. The problem could be with the sensor in the steering column housing, wiring leading to or away from the sensor, or other electronic issues.
