Description: Eucharist and Chalice – 3 sizes – Based on a Vintage French Holy Cared – Catholic Art Print – Catholic Gift – Gift for Priest This exquisite image of the Holy Eucharist and Chalice has a lot of rich detail. The Eucharist is like the sun rising over a dark world. There is a Sacred Heart jewel in the handle. On the side of the chalice there is a pelican feeding its young. The pelican has long been a symbol of Jesus and the Eucharist because medievalists had the impression that pelicans fed their young by tearing off pieces of their own flesh.Done around 1860, it is another masterpiece by the great Bouasse Lebel printing house. We love this print for its beauty but also for its message. The French translates into English as, "It is Jesus who gives himself to us! It is Jesus that we are going to receive!"The print is really sharp, and the colors look great on paper. It makes a great gift for a priest, or anybody who'd like a beautiful reminder of who awaits us at church under the guise of bread and wine.The print is long out of copyright. We spent considerable time restoring it. We print it on special art paper with archival quality pigments, rated to last for many generations without fading when kept out of the direct sun.!!!IMPORTANT !!! The image is smaller than the paper! !We leave about a white border about 1/2 inch on 5x7, about 1.3" on 8.5x11", and about 1.6" on 11x14".
