Now in his 18th year of military service, he previously served as a Naval Flight Officer during Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom.During his career, he was privileged to be selected to teach in the Department of Naval Science at the University of California, Berkeley, where he also spent three years on the football teams coaching staff and earned a Masters Degree in Education. He is also a graduate of the University of Oklahomas Masters in Organizational Leadership program and completed a certificate program in Joint Professional Military Education at the Naval War College. Since 2009, he has served as an Adjunct Professor for Concordia University Irvines On-line Masters Degree program in Coaching and Athletic Administration.
