Description: Eye XL Cutlery (Schlieper) Japan Bone 1-blade Trapper Pocket Knife 1960s This is an Eye XL Cutlery single blade trapper pattern knife. The handle material is bone and the blade is stainless steel. There is very light patina on the bottom edge of the knife. Never carried or sharpened. Closed Length - 4 1/8” Clip Blade - 3 1/2” The Eye XL Cutlery line was produced under the Carl Schlieper German Eye Brand in Seki, Japan in the 1960's- 1970's. Their logo is a modified Eye over "XL" on the tang stamp. These knives are not the same exceptional level of quality you find in the Schlieper knives that were made in Germany, but at that time Japan was still recovering from the war, but they are definitely rare and a decent little knife. Plus they hold a connection to one of the finest knife manufacturers in the world from the 1950's - 1980's. Everything shows in the pictures. Any questions feel free to ask.
