Description: Presented is a fabulous Unger Brothers sterling silver sardine serving fork. This piece is made in the elegant Douvaine pattern, which began production in 1890. This pattern features a design of a North Wind type face and a classical dolphin or fish on the handle, surrounded by flowing, sinuous decoration in the Art Nouveau style of the time to which the pattern dates. The fork has a wide body with seven short tines and openwork decoration above. The handle has the name Mabel engraved in script. This piece is in great condition. The details of the pattern are nice and crisp. There are no splits, no breaks, no dents, no monogram removals, and no repairs. This piece is stamped with the Unger Brothers maker's mark as well as sterling 925 fine. The fork is about 5 7/8 inches long. This piece weighs 32 grams or 1.1 regular ounces. -jm Powered by SixBit's eCommerce Solution
