The story is titled "The Little Lame Lamb"; a story of St. Francis and an early Christmas miracle. The story is placed in support of promotional efforts of the new project by Disneyland Records and is narrated by Broadway legend Mary Martin (1913 - 1990). (Martin was also the mother of actor Larry Hagman (1931 - 2012) of "I Dream of Jeannie" and "Dallas" fame.) The musical score for the project was created by Tutti Camarata, a collaborator and friend of Mary Martin's. The story is presented in a respectful manner is among the overlooked work that listeners will enjoy; both through reading the story published in this magazine... or in listening to a recording of Martin's Christmas record. The story was released separately by Disneyland Records (STEP1002) in 1957 and could be ordered from Family Circle Magazine for $2.00 each, and included two 45rpm records and a 12-page story book. The offering proved so popular that Disneyland Records also released it for several years as a 33.3rpm LP album.
