Fantastic Rare Wittnauer Professional Chronograph Scuba Roulette Ref 246T 1971

Description: TEMPLATE Rare Wittnauer Professional Chronograph "Scuba Roulette" Reference 246T ~ Valjoux 72 All original ~ Circa 1971 Up for your consideration is this very fine, rare vintage Wittnauer Professional Chronograph "Scuba Roulette" ref. 246T, divers chronograph, circa 1971. Estate fresh, untouched & all original. Excellent condition! A holy grail of dive watches. The iconic Wittnauer "Scuba Roulette" ref. 246T.... This is a one owner watch, that I purchased from the son of the original owner. Never before offered to market..... All original & untouched! Signed 5x's: Case; Dial; Crown; Movement; Bracelet The 42mm stainless steel case has never been polished. Case is sharp & crisp. Shows signs of only very light use. The domed acrylic crystal looks to be original & in very good condition. The original colorful "racing" dial is a sight to behold! A special highlight is the racing style track ring. The original orange hands and hour markers have nicely aged tritium lume. The chronograph hand is red. The red & gray against the black dial is a great contrast! Dial is in fantastic original condition. Dial is marked; Wittnauer / Professional Chronograph / T Swiss T Original signed Wittnauer crown & pushers Now, how about that rotating bezel! The "roulette" portion of the nickname comes from the odd bezel format, made from bakelite, that resembles roulette gaming table. Bakelite bezels are fragile & usually found with chips or cracks, this one looks to be free from any of those issues. I really doubt you will find a nicer example! What's not to love about this watch? Screw-back case is very clean. There is no photo of the movement, sorry. I don't think the back has ever been removed, it is on very tight & I am afraid of the tool slipping & leaving tool marks. I do not want to take that chance. Watch comes its original Wittnauer, JB Champion stainless steel "brick" link bracelet Bracelet is full length & will fit a 8" wrist. Full correct markings.... From the looks of this watch, I don't think it has seen much wrist time at all. A watch worthy of any dive watch collection.... This special chrono features the iconic, caliber Valjoux 72, Swiss chronograph movement. Watch is in good running order with the chrono hand resetting three seconds before 12. I don't think this watch has ever been serviced. Service history is unknown. Estate fresh ~ One Owner ~ Truly unmolested and 100% all original. Just the way you like to find them.
