Fantastic Vintage Normandy Eb Clarinet! - Completely Restored!

Description: Normandy Eb ClarinetSN: 5981 This lovely little Eb clarinet is one I have been working on for a while now to restore back to excellent condition, and (if I may say so myself) it has turned out just fantastic! As an intermediate level model of Eb clarinet, it would be great for the aspiring clarinetist in any setting (from a local municipal band to a college-level wind ensemble) as they further explore the performance and ensemble roles and opportunities associated with it. Relative to other Eb clarinets of this caliber, this clarinet has an even, focused tone across registers with nice response and intonation (helping it to sound a lot more like a 'clarinet' than many Eb clarinets manage). This clarinet would work well with a range of setups offering the flexibility that is so valuable when learning and growing as a clarinetist. Condition: This clarinet is in good but 'used' condition. This means that, in general, it has minor dings and scratches in various places on the barrel, bell, and body (I have included pictures of the most notable ones to give a better idea of extent), but these are all only minor aesthetic issues and to do affect the instrument itself. The keys are older and have a slight yellowish color to the nickel plating (they did polish up beautifully, though, compared to how they had been!). The only nickel plating concern with the keys is on the throat G#/Ab key (see picture). Restoration/Overhaul: The restoration process included:- 2 weeks of bore oil treatment to recondition grenadilla wood with wax buff to surface- Logos refurbished to nice cream color- All tenon rings, key posts and keys removed, cleaned, and polished- Key have all new pads (corks with a few Valentinos on top, white leather on bottom) and corks, springs replaced as needed and adjusted- All tone holes have been refaced to ensure a perfect cusp for each key pad to seal against- Resealed register key vent and thumb tube in wood body Item: this clarinet is in READY condition to play! (*Of course you will want your own mouthpiece to use with it) It includes the barrel, bell, and main body and comes with a stock mouthpiece and cap.
