Rare "Fuhrer - Dux" Postal Cancels on invitation postcard to Marcophily Club by Victor Perantoni Historical Postcard with "Fuhrer Dux" postal cancels to commemorate the Axis Nazi-Fascist festivities held on Adolf Hitler's visit to Rome 3-9 May 1938. The postmarks are dated 5 May 1938 and the postcard was addressed by Carlo Perantoni to Mr. Eraldo Pollice, a well known philatelic collector from Verona, Italy. Eraldo Pollice was also an artist renown for designing postcards.The postcard was mailed from Naples, Italy by Carlo Perantoni on behalf of his son Victor, as a special postmark opportunity of the Axis's Nazi-Fascist week festivities. Prior to WWII Carlo Perantoni had been appointed Honorary Vice-Consul for Italy's Foreign Affairs in South-East Poland. Victor and Eraldo were close friends belonging to the same philatelic club of Verona (Associazione Filatelica Scaligera). The back of the postcard has an invitation to join the club's postmark-cancel collectors group "Collezionisti di Annulli" which, in fact, Eraldo and Victor were members.
