If it wasn't bad enough for Stanley Banks (Spencer Tracy) having his daughter (Elizabeth Taylor) married off, her expecting a baby is just too much. Predictably, Stanley balks at the whole idea at first but finally adjusts and accepts the inevitable. Problems abound between the parents and four grandparents. And once again Tracy copes while Taylor dazzles in this bright and timeless comedy classic.
