Compared to the previous Stratocaster and Telecaster models, the larger-bodied Jazzmaster model features the warmest tone of the Acoustasonic series, and four new specially voiced sounds give it a presence that sets it apart from other models. The addition of new electric voicings with humbucking pickups designed by Tim Shaw creates a completely new instrument that produces sounds that have never been achieved with previous guitars. Neither acoustic nor electric, the Acoustasonic Jazzmaster is the most versatile guitar Fender has ever made, an all-in-one tool that will inspire you from the studio to the stage. ■Stringed Instrument Resonance System The Stringed Instrument Resonance System (SIRS) uses a waterfall-inspired design to control the airflow inside the body, resulting in powerful, natural voicings and lively overtones. ■Acoustic Engine The Acoustic Engine, jointly developed by Fender and Fishman, incorporates new technology that has both acoustic and electric sounds. Five modes can be selected with a 5-way selector, and each mode has two different sounds. The Mod knob allows you to blend these two sounds. ■Acoustic Body The traditional Jazzmaster shape has a larger body size than the traditional Acoustasonic series, and features the warmest tone, providing a natural and rich sound. ■Pickups The Acoustasonic Jazzmasterr is equipped with three types of pickups: under-saddle piezo, body sensor, and humbucking pickup.
