FINE FRENCH NIAVE VOYERISTIC O/C PAINTING WOMAN MAN PEEPER FOOT ATTIC FOUND 1830

Description: This is an Estate Fresh old FINE FRENCH NIAVE Possibly VOYERISTIC O/C PAINTING of a WOMAN & MAN PEEPER with a FOOT FETTISH ? ca 1830's - 40's based on construction. This piece was ATTIC STORED & FOUND. This from the same estate where all the high end Sterling Silver I currently have listed came from. They were world travelers and had a 2nd home outside Paris. Probably found in a shop there and brought back here. Its a really interesting painting subject. Actually one of a pair, though this is the only one listed at this time. Its the most interesting, I mean... whats that guy doing? And is she a lady or a Lady of the evening?? And I am not sure he is really looking at her feet or just south. Regardless, a painting of this age, its certainly not the normal subject matter for 2 people dressed a finely as these 2 French clad people are. Its a big painting being 27" tall x 33" wide. Its a lil dark of shellac oxidation and dirt and could use a cleaning and perhaps a lil touch-up. Its pretty well done and I'm kinda surprised its not signed. Beautiful fireplace in the background with nice mantle and accessories, if you can get past the couple. A good investment piece as I am sure its much better than what I am selling it for. Just leaving room for someone to get it dressed back up. His jacket is top notch and she is really preoccupied with herself. The stretcher is early 1850's construction and the frame is an English or European Pine. It actually has an old Stamp attached to it that looks like it reads 1823 as pictured. Has some stress at the Frame joints but is still firmly together. Its a pretty good piece and a great addition to any wall home or collection!
