Description: This is a sub from a top speaker manufacturer Focal (and Naim now), sold new for $1399. I own it for a year and tried both for HiFi and HT. It is a very quiet and clean sub, extremely fast to me, and has ability to shock listeners with thunderous bass (like real thunder in the movies). !2" drivers by no means sound like a lesser driver at all. I like it more soundwise (faster) and visually vs 1000F, and i like it more than B&W D3 by far- probably due to the difference in driver's size. Closed design with clean controlled bass. It has a sense of unlimited shock inducing power in HT. Adds 6db at corners. The sub has surface cosmetic damage - see photo, maybe, some more smudges but it looks very stylish in my rooms. The damage was not done during the shipping - arrived in perfect shape, but by me when micro maneuvering in the house - does not affect performance at all. It is about a 16” cube and is 46 lbs - just difficult for micro maneuvering it on the knees between furniture into a corner for final setting. Shipping is in the original factory double-box (very important) with all original shipping safety material.
