He is standing with his arm raised ready to strike with his hammer. He has a chisel in his left hand where he is working on a low relief of a Roman soldier. Everything has wonderful detail. His pants are green. He has a red apron with black straps covering his off-white undershirt and pale blue tunic. There are more chisels in his apron pocket. He has red hair and a beard. This figure fits in the "5in" Fontanini series. NEW in original box. The figure is a polymer material that is almost indestructible. Other town figures from the Fontanini Nativities can be added very nicely to the Life of Christ series. Fontanini was founded in 1908 and has produced many figures of saints, and figures from Christ's Life. The Nativity figures come in many sizes. In prior years, as small as 1in. up to almost life size. The most popular sizes sold today are: 2.5in. usually in ornaments or scenes, 5in. & 7.5in (most popular for home because of the sizes), 12in., 20in. 27in. and 50+in for large gathering places (Church, halls, etc.) They also have sets which include stables.
