Description: Please understand these are listed for parts/not working. These shoes are in no condition to install on a vehicle. This is a pair of front brake shoes off of a 1972 Volkswagen Super Beetle. These were removed from the car in 2020 to free up the left front wheel so the car could be rolled around easily. I've had them stashed in the car since then and I would like to move them on. At one point these were a new pair of shoes that my father got and installed on the car when he was working on it. The project fell through over the years and the car sat and deteriorated. The last time we rolled the car around the left front wheel was locked up and dragging the ground. I fought the drum off to remove these shoes so the car could be rolled around easier next time we move it. The friction material on these shoes is still relatively thick with the acception of where the material was worn when the drum finally freed up. The steel is corroded and the corrosion layered up behind the friction material separating it from the steel. I do not have any springs or mounting hardware for these. I believe these had the friction material bonded to the steel with some heavy duty automotive glue or something from the factory. What you see photographed are the exact pair of crusty brake shoes you will receive. Please understand these are listed for parts/not working. These shoes are in no condition to install on a vehicle. I can ship to the lower 48.
