Description: G SCALE CLEAR FIREHOUSE AND WATCH TOWER This design is loosely based on the famous Alpine Hose No. 2 in Georgetown, CO. We've changed the name for another customer, and we can do the same for your building. Just let us know what you'd like the name of your firehouse to be, and it will be painted in the same style and location as "Clear Creek" on the front of the building. This fully assembled, weather resistant volunteer fire fighting company is built to approximately 1:24 scale, but it would also work well with slightly larger or smaller operations such as 1:20.3 and 1:29. These structures would also work well for some indoor gauges such as the old American Flyer wide gauge, or the Lionel, Marx and MTH standard gauge trains. Structures also make a great display for your Franklin Mint, Danbury Mint, and other 1:24 die cast cars and fire trucks. The firehouse is about 11" wide by 16 1/2" deep and it stands 14" tall to the top of the chimney. The watch / hose drying tower is 8" by 8"at the base, stands 24 1/2" tall, and includes a brass fire bell. Built from exterior grade lumber, these weather resistant structures have been assembled using galvanized fasteners and waterproof adhesives throughout. We've given these structures durable, water proof PVC foundations so they won't rot or wick moisture up from the ground. Detailed inside and out, firehouse features an interior stair case, fire pole, alarm 'bell' and two sets of operating doors so you can park vehicles and see inside. The front garage door on the firehouse is 5" wide by 5" tall and the side service door is 3 5/8" wide 4 1/2" tall. All other doors and windows are fixed in place and do not open. Solid PVC roof sheds water just like the real thing and has been painted for the look of weathered standing seam steel. Detailed windows and doors feature plastic window panes, curtains and shades. Fresh from our shop, we've given these buildings a moderately weathered using the best exterior grade finishes, so they'll stay looking that way. The firehouse is lit with two miniature light fixtures wired in parallel with soldered connections, and the tower is lit with one. These lights can easily be connected to just about any low voltage power source, including track, accessory and landscape lighting. 18 volts max., but about 12V works great. Perfect for diesel or steam layouts of any era, and the firehouse includes the ladder shown hanging on side of building. This listing is for the firehouse, tower and ladder only.
