Description: This beautiful hand crafted George Jones Majolica small tureen, made in 1876 at Trent Pottery, Burslen, England, is a rare find for collectors and enthusiasts of vintage kitchenware. Its unique fish design and intricate patterns make it a must-have item to add to your collection. As the pictures show, it is approximately 8” long, 6” wide, and 2” deep (4” height with lid). Its unusual design makes it a perfect conversation starter for any dinner party. This example of George Jones’ work is in nearly perfect condition with one small imperfection on the bottom (see picture). Otherwise there is no damage or glaze cracking. the basket weave and seaweed pattern with rope-like rim is amazing as is the lovely Turquoise glaze. All in all, a wonderful example of Mr. Jones’ work. A copy of an appraisal done in 2007 and a hand written letter describing the piece from the party who gave this tureen to my parents in 1978 will be included. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to own this one-of-a-kind piece!
