George Reeves Superman TV Series 1952-58 Signed Display JSA Authenticated 'Rare'

Description: George Reeves [1914 1959] was an American actor forever known for portraying Superman in the television series, Adventures of Superman which aired from 1952 until 1958. Many are not aware but his very first movie appearance was a Brent Tarleton, where he played one of the suitors of Scarlett O'Hara's in the 1939 film Gone with the Wind. George Reeves died on June 16, 1959, of a self-inflicted gunshot while at his home in California. There have been many who are skeptical about the events of his death, with rumors that he was killed. Listed for auction is a stunning framed display which contains the exceedingly rare autograph of George Reeves. The autograph is dedicated on a page and signed ''George Reeves'' in blue fountain pen. The page measures 4.25 x 3.00 inches and is in fine condition. The autograph has been reviewed and authenticated by JSA Authentication and will be accompanied with the above Letter of Authenticity. The display is centered around a wonderful image of George Reeves as Superman. The photograph is a quality color image which measures 7.00 x 8.00 inches. Mounted below is his autograph which has been matted in the same shape as his Superman insignia. Mounted below his autograph is a professionally engraved plaque which reads as follows, ''It's a Bird! It's a Plane! It's Superman! George Reeves January 5, 1914 - June 16,1959 - Clark Kent & Superman. The display has been professionally framed and double matted as follows. The outer matte is a blue swede which has been accented by a red swede inner matte. The display has been completed in an ornate silver wood frame with stars to the dimensions 20.00 x 15.00 inches.
