Description: This beautiful antique communion certificate is a stunning piece of history of Germany. It features delicate artwork and calligraphy, making it a perfect addition to any collection. It was published by Fr. Pusher in New York. The document is a First Holy Communion certificate presented to Albert Enger of Burlington, Iowa. The certificate measures 8 inches by 10 1/2“. The exquisite 1.5” gold wood frame has intricate carved leaves and acorns applied on the stacked top level. The sides of the frame are painted black. A piece of wood is nailed on the back to hold the certificate. There is also a wire hanger. The frame and backing are in excellent condition. There is one small bump on the bottom, right corner of frame and upper left corner of frame. See last 2 photos. The hand colored certificate is vibrant orange and green colors. The glass is fine, no chips or cracks. The certificate is not torn. It is showing its age with some foxing. It appears that dust has gotten inside, and if you take the frame apart and clean the glass that would improve the overall look of the certificate. This is a wonderful representation of the Christian faith and would make a great gift for someone special.
