Description: This is a beautiful German hand painted wardrobe. 19th century paint decorated Swiss or German schrank. A dowry cupboard / schrank made for Maria Hindgauer, her name and the date 1858, painted across the frieze above double doors painted with urns full of colorful fruit and flowers. Exuberant swirling grain painting surround the floral decoration on the front and sides (and cookie cut corners). Double doors open to unpainted interior fitted with a couple shelves which are not original. Shelves can be removed if you like to install rod for clothes.
