Description: For sale is a Gibson Les Paul Custom 20th Anniversary 1974 - Tobacco Burst (Rare Finish) w/ Original Gibson Case in Good Condition!This limited run LP Custom is an awesome time capsule of years past! I have done a good amount of digging and could not find another of the LPC 20th Ann in this finish. I don't know if it could have possibly been a special order or maybe even a mistake.It is marked as "2" on the back of the headstock, indicating that it is a factory second. I'm thinking it's finish related, but I really don't know for sure. There is also an imprinted stamp above the "2" where you would normally see the "Made in USA" marking.This Les Paul has just been cleaned, restrung and set up with low action and plays wonderful!As seen in the above photos, there are stress cracks on both sides of the neck by the headstock, a crack on the back of the neck, as well as a small piece of the headstock which has been glued back into place, all three have been professionally repaired and are 100% solid.The truss rod works perfectly as it should!The pickups, electronics, bridge and tailpiece have all been changed out as well. It appears that whoever owned this guitar had a very specific vision in mind and while I can't find the makers for these parts, they all appear to be very high quality. Both pickups have the braided wire and they sound incredible.I looked on the back of the pickups but there is no name or maker, they are both a solid gold colored backing.There is also a switch that has been added that is related to the upgraded electronics. It seems to be some sort of presence boost when activated, but I can't say for sure. There is a definite change in tone between the two positions.This beauty does have the original Gibson tuning machines as well as the original Gibson chainsaw case from the 70s.
