Description: This early 1990s vintage suit from Giorgio Armani's Black Label is a lovely muted shade of sage green fabric (a slight bit lighter than it looks on our monitor) and a quintessential example of Armani's modernist aesthetic. The streamlined jacket has no collar or lapels, and the buttons are hidden behind a placket. It has long sleeves, light shoulder pads, and two besom pockets at the hips. The pencil skirt has a waistband and darts, and a small pleat with topstitching down the front - the only decorative embelishment on the suit. It closes with a side zipper. Both pieces are lined in pale turquoise cupro (rayon). The shell fabric is a four-season wool woven with an almost fine dobby texture. Both pieces are labeled Italian size 38, which is usually equivalent to a US size 2. Based on the skirt measurements, out modern sizing charts indicate that the suit is indeed a modern size 2.
