Description: This rare darling piece from 1958 by Albert Staehle (Stge 18) is of Butch the Cocker Spaniel Dog from the Saturday Evening Post Magazine. This is an adorable black and white cocker spaniel tearing up a dog training book. It is by W. Gobble, Western Germany both stamped on the bottom. Also on the bottom it is signed by Albert Stahle. Measuring 4 1/4" long, 3" tall and 3" wide at its widest point. There is crazing on the bottom of the figurine but the only crazing I see on the top is very slight crazing on the pages of the book (sides). There are no repairs, chips and very slight crazing on the book. There is also slight discoloration between his eyes as seen in the photo. What a wonderful rare addition to any collection. Please be sure of your purchase as all sales are final.
