Description: Fantastic dinosaur track/print from the early Jurassic Portland Formation of the Connecticut River Valley in South Hadley, Massachusetts. Most you see have been artificially darkened in to highlight the prints. Unfortunately, in many cases there's not even a print there. Here is one that's a premium, high grade piece, completely natural and which has never been artificially darkened in. You can clearly see the print, the knuckles and where one of the claws has also dug into the mud that this stone started out as. I'll leave the darkening to the buyer, if they choose to do so but feel it's best to show it as they are found. The track has been outlined in chalk, which can easily be washed off. This is a premium track which I had kept for my collection, but I've found another multiple and can't keep both. It appears that in the corner of the piece there may be the tip of a toe imprint from another track. I've placed a tape measure next to the print in photo 4 to show that the print is over 5 inches long. The slab measures about 16 by 15 inches. The stand is not included in the sale.
