Notice the impressed marks and number underneath the base.Known as The Grand Tour period, the wealthy traveled to different European countries and continents. It was considered de rigueur. An education abroad was enjoyed by the upper classes, usually wealthy Americans and Great Britons. A fascinating bronze sculpture of early Greek or Roman era.This Bronze figure is from antiquity and was mounted later, affixed to an 18th century scale weight.The marks relevant to the later base are partially covered by the antiquity figure.
