Description: This listing is for a vintage Greece American Geographical Society Around the World Program 1957 Book.It has had only one owner and is in very good condition. It is softcover and measures 5 1/2 in. by 8 1/4 in. This is part of a series that introduces the reader to the history, culture, geography, and customs of various countries; this booklet concentrates on Greece. This is a part of a series of publications which are historical and extremely informative in nature. Each book originally came with a set of colorful stamps that the reader was to glue onto the appropriate page. The stamps are glued to appropriate spots in the text, creating color illustrations. It has 64 pages with black and white photography. The included stamps are glued to appropriate spots creating colorful illustrations, and there is no underlining, highlighting, or writing. The covers lay flat. The flaws I see are a tiny bit of edge wear on the corners of the covers (picture 1), and the staples that hold the book together have rusted (picture 6).Because of this, one page has detached from the center of the book (picture 9). The back cover's upper right corner has an indentation of an upturned corner (picture 2) All in all it is in very good condition considering it is 61 years old! It is from a smoke free home.
