It features a 10-ply shell that is thicker than the USA Custom Series combining maple gum and poplar and a hybrid bearing edge that combines the traditional Gretsch 30° edge used in the USA Custom Series with the old-school BROADKASTER-style Roundover edge. The result is a warm full-bodied tone with a sense of attack. The hardware is equipped with a diecast hoop lightning throwoff and 20 snare wires just like the USA Custom. As for size variations the caliber is only 14 inches and the depth and number of lugs are two patterns: 5 inches + 8 lugs and 6.5 inches + 10 lugs. The colors are Satin Natural and Ebony Gloss. The Gretsch brand was born in NEWYORK in 1883. As for drum production the company moved its production base to Arkansas in the south in the late 1960s Tennessee in 1983 and Ridgeland South Carolina in the mid-1980s and will celebrate its 140th anniversary in 2023.
