The stainless guide rod adds mass to reduce recoil and also eliminates the factory "crash" issue. We use aluminum for our plug to prevent galling and provide the lightest weight possible to reduce slide mass and recoil.Installing our stainless steel guide rod adds weight and reduces split times. The factory rod is an awkward length and can lead to barrel bushing failure. Our rod is the proper length ensuring reliable cycling.Our stainless steel bushing replaces the zinc die cast factory unit that is prone to breakage from crashing into the barrel bushing.Our high performance spring is much more reliable and doesn't bind like the factory spring.
