Handpainted Antique Porcelain Punch Bowl + 11 Cups, Vienna Austria / JS Germany

Description: For your consideration is this stunning antique punch bowl set featuring a grape motif and gold border, circa roughly 1900-1910. The set includes a large punch bowl, a pedestal base, and 11 punch cups in excellent condition. (Note: the photos just show nine punch cups, but I found two more in another box after posting, and the set will include all 11). I will also include the hooks for display (these are modern though!). There are two different marks on these pieces - the base and the punch bowl are marked JS Germany (the mark for Joseph Schachtel), and the punch cups are marked Vienna, Austria with a crown motif. The same talented artist would have painted the blanks from these different sets at the same time. This set is in fantastic condition, particularly considering its age. The bowl and base have no chips, cracks, or structural damage. There are a few spots where the paint shows light wear. The cups are also in excellent condition, with one cup, having a small x-shaped crack on the interior, as shown in the photos, but it does still hold liquid. The other 10 cups show no damage, just a few spots and light signs of wear on the paint. Please take a close look at the photos for a full depiction of condition, and for measurements in all directions. This will ship in 2-3 large boxes, with lots of protection!
