Description: Vintage Haro Response Trials Bike Very very rare, made in 1988 only, this trials bike designed by two-time N.O.R.B.A. National Trials Champion Kevin Norton. The first bike fitted with the Dia-Compe AD-990 "bulldog" brakes. Its long frame and wide bars inspire confidence and fit an adult comfortably. The ultra-low gearing, nearly 1:1 ratio crank sprocket set is particularly suited for trials riding. Fitted with the hugely strong Peregrine HP-48 rear rim on the famed Monty trial bike tires. With high ground clearance and a heavy duty bash guard the Haro Response goes anywhere. Gusseted front tube and BMX style fork make this frame virtually indestructible. With Haro's Tri-Moly frame and Chromoly fork this bike is built like a tank. This fine example was a personal bike owned by one of the Illinois Pro GT stunt riders in the 90's and came into my possession working with them at a bike shop. The changes to the bike I am aware of are the two finger levers, the graveyard crank sprocket, Elf seat stem, and GT pedals. All of which are an upgrade, in my opinion. The Monty tires on here I replaced in 1997 and are due to be replaced again. New chain, rear sprocket, and inner tubes. Item is sold as is, as you see in the photos, its in full working condition and rides great. Looking for a new home. Feel free to ask me anything about the bike and I will do my best to answer your questions. I will pack in a bike box and can ship to the 48 states.
