Description: For sale is an extremely rare and hard to find first edition copy of “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” by J.K. Rowling. This is a first edition, first printing. The book itself is in very good condition, but the dust jacket has a small tear to the top left corner of the back cover. There’s also some very slight wrinkling to the bottom edge of the dust jacket and a little around the top of the spine too. The inside of the jacket has a couple of colored stains where something was spilled on it. These stains have a sweet odor to them, like a candle or makeup or something (I can’t tell exactly what). It’s not unpleasant, but it is there. The boards of the book itself have some wear and a few white smudges. A previous owner has written her name and the date on the fly leaf, and there is also a stamp that reads “Thomas Jefferson Elementary PTA.”. Underneath the inside flap on the front cover, the previous owner has also affixed a book plate. The spine is not completely straight, so that the front cover extends slightly further than the back cover. The dust jacket is very vivid and the pages bright white. Overall, this rare book remains in good condition.
