Description: Hasegawa 1/350 Japan Nippon Yusen Hikawa Maru Plastic Model Z28 New Description Condition: New The Hikawa Maru is a cargo passenger ship completed by Japan Yusen in 1930. Sister ships include the Hie Maru and the Heian Maru. The Hikawa Maru was operated on the North Pacific Route (Seattle route). The service was so good that it was appreciated by foreign passengers, and celebrities such as Charlie Chaplin were also on board. However, in October 1941, just before the start of the Pacific War, she was requisitioned by the Ministry of Communications as a repatriation ship for Japanese nationals living abroad, and was subsequently requisitioned by the Navy to become a hospital ship. It escaped sinking until the end of the war, and after the war, in 1950, it returned to the international route of Japan Yusen and operated on the North Pacific route until its retirement in 1960. The kit reproduces the pre-war era of Japan Yusen with a completely new mold. The hull is sandwiched with a girder inside to achieve reliable assembly and strength. As for the area around the guest room, the exterior part that can be seen from the opening is well made. The deck is curved to improve drainage, and the cross-sectional shape (camber) is also accurately reproduced. The windows of the bridge and the searchlight are set with transparent parts. An exhibition stand is included. One of the characteristics of cargo and passenger ships, the large number of cranes (derricks) and their winches are also precisely made into parts. You can enjoy a completely different part composition and presence from battleships and aircraft carriers. Currently, it is moored as the "Japan Yusen Hikawa Maru" in Yamashita Park in Yokohama, and it is possible to visit (for a fee). If you prepare in advance on the actual ship and then assemble it, you will be able to discover various things and double the fun! 【Enclosed Benefits】 ■ History manual (monochrome, A4 size) ■ "Color painting diagram / reference drawing of main tension lines" (model size) 【Product Specifications】 ■ Japan Yusen cargo and passenger ship (recreating the pre-war era) Entered service on the Seattle route (1930-41 before the war) * This product is a plastic model that needs to be assembled and painted. * Assembly and painting require adhesives, tools, paints, etc. separately. * "Plastic Model" is a registered trademark owned by the Japan Plastic Model Industry Cooperative. * This product does not include adhesives, paints, tools, batteries, etc. Payment Please pay within 5 days after the auction closed.
