There is practically no gasket distortion under grueling conditions. They are designed to handle higher compression ratios, and higher operating temperatures. These gaskets are especially ideal for Turbo Charged engines.The standards for surface textures are defined in DIN EN ISO 4287 (values being RZ ≤15μm for roughness, and Pt ≤22μm for profile depth) Poor machining will not be acceptable with this gasket. Note: may have 3 or 2 notch on head gasket, so if you have a 2 notch, please read the thickness number on metal plate. This gasket number would be marked "25" designating 1.25mm thickness Tip: It is considered best practice to ALWAYS change head bolts when changing the head gasket. With the torque-angle tightening method, the head bolts are elongated permanently. Therefore cylinder head bolts should only be used once, for safety reasons.
