It calls forth the power of Hecate, Greek goddess of magic, witchcraft, the night, the moon, ghosts and necromancy. Hecate's Wheel symbolizes Hecate in three forms. One modern interpretation of this can be seen in the Maiden, the Mother, and the Crone. Our version of the Hecate's Wheel includes the Ouroboros, an ancient symbol of a serpent eating its own tail. This symbolizes Hecate's affinity for serpentine imagery as well as the symbolism of wholeness, further represented by her three forms. Within the Ouroboros, there is a labyrinth of earth, water, and sky. These three elements not only mirror the three parts of Hecate, but also represent the gifts she was given by Zeus as described in Theogony.
